Our yearly Read for a Pumpkin challenge is back! Kids of all ages can earn a free pumpkin from Save More Marketplace by reading every day (for at least 20 minutes) for 20 days! Stop by the library front desk for a game card. The challenge will run from September 25 through October 20.

October 4: “Fall Leaves” at Minocqua Winter Park (7588 Squirrel Hill Road) · We will hike to the top of Squirrel Hill to view the fall colors. The hike is about ½ mile long and is stroller-friendly.
Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, October 7 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the community gym (across from the library’s front desk). Bring the whole family to enjoy an interactive story and fun activities! The October theme is “Pumpkinfest”.

Join us for our first-ever Halloween Costume Shop and Swap on Thursday, October 12 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm. Bring in Halloween costumes from previous years and swap them for new ones OR shop from a selection provided by the WINGS Kid Kloset.
Monday, October 16: WI Science Festival. Enjoy simple science stations including a balloon hovercraft, elephant toothpaste, floating man, expanding star and self-inflating balloon.

Stop by the library on Tuesday, October 31 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm for our Halloween Story Path! Enjoy a stroll outside of the library (along Chicago Street) and read a Halloween story as you go! The story will be up during business trick-or-treat hours and candy will be provided as well.
